Museum Entrance :

The museum entrance is at the 5th floor.

History of Ships :

This area exhibits the development of vessels from ancient times to the 19th century. You will see a wide array of display from primitive watercrafts to western sailing boats, mechanically powered steam boats and the Chinese ships and Taiwanese common boats.

Modern Ships

Modern Ships :

This is a systematic display of engine-powered ships widely used in the 20th century, including ocean liners, modern cargo ships and modern navies.

Marine Paintings
Maritime Taiwan

Marine Paintings :

This gallery exhibits marine paintings with various themes dated from 18th to the 20th century. Visitors are promised a spectacle journey to the open sea, witnessing the raging gunfire as well as racing sails in historical events.

Maritime Taiwan :

Walking alongside with dolphins and schools of fish, we now enter the area where Taiwan had become part of the world. You may see the evolution of the relationship between the island Formosa and the sea and how it changed through time during the past 400 years.
